C.H.I.M.P.S and D.E.A.L


The C.H.I.M.P.S & D.E.A.L programmes are designed to empower families to make small simple lifestyle changes to improve their future health and wellbeing.

The 6 week programme lasts for one hour per week and consists of nutritional advice for the parents and exercise for the children. The course content covers the following topics:

  • Healthy Breakfasts & Behaviour change
  • The Eatwell plate & Portion sizes
  • Fat & Sugar swaps
  • Food Label reading
  • Physical activity & sedentary behaviour
  • Course Graduation

These programmes combine fun physical activity sessions for the children and information sessions for parents. The sessions are designed to encourage and support families in maintaining an active lifestyle and a healthy weight.

As children are still growing the programme is not designed to encourage weight loss but to reduce or maintain your child’s body mass index. However, by making healthy lifestyle choices this may lead to some weight loss.
